Aashrya Naik has represented the country at an international level and feels proud to do so. Boxing has many important skills and techniques and she’ll break a sweat to learn new techniques. She tries improving herself after every game by analysing her mistakes and working on them. Aashrya feels that strength and endurance are important aspects of her game. While in the ring, she judges every move of her opponent and will counter in their mistakes. If she encounters a tougher opponent, she watches videos or games of the opponent and does her research to work on the weak spots and frequently made mistakes. Her favourite boxer is Shiva Thapa who represented India at the 2012 London Olympics and has won the Arjuna Award for boxing. Shiva Thapa’s work ethic has motivated Aashrya to work harder and she wishes to reach the same heights in her boxing career.
